Archaeology/History fields post 1960 (or maybe even earlier) have been poisoned. I don't have the link but some guy had a great rundown on the history of 'what was acceptable' about the Mexican skull sacrifice walls. Basically, old histories were like 'Yep, they made giant walls full of skulls of sacrifices, including children', then around 1960's they started to go "Oh, yeah, all that stuff about skull walls was obviously made up, nobody would seriously consider it", then when they started to actually DISCOVER complete, intact, gigantic skull walls they were like "Oh, it happened, but it was over-blown and MOST of the accounts are probably fictitious". And that's stuck with me because it's one of the best example of how after WW II reality, actual REALITY, started being dismantled, bit by bit, by 'academia'. Seek the truth in older texts. They don't even have to be written by 'Western' authors: Africans, Europeans, South Americans all tattled on the realities of their shortcomings in the past pretty openly. These accurate accounts are being systematically erased or distorted, largely in order to corrode western society so that other interests (such as Chinese) can ascend further into dominance.
