Heart Garden was indeed the tipping point for Idol. It had flaws before, to be sure, but you could still forgive it before that point. Little lazy things like reusing the ED song for the finisher, okay fine that's just one bad thing...

But once Toei took the mask off and went full lazy, the show was doomed. It's been nothing but full-tilt full-shill zero-effort ever since. Sad lazy 2P recolor powerup design. Reusing Uta's song fucking *again*, couldn't even be assed to use the second verse. An entire episode hyping up a live concert only to completely offscreen the whole thing, which probably takes 1st Prize for slimiest shilliest lazy writing decision in the entire Precure franchise. I could go on...
