It makes no sense for Ciri to become a Witcher. The books also got worse the more they came to focus on Ciri (or anyone who wasn't Geralt.)

People want to play as the WITCHER. And a legit anti-hero style Witcher in the style of Geralt if we can't play as Geralt himself, not a chosen one lost princess bitch who is only becoming a witcher so she can be the protagonist. Arguably, the whole appeal of being a witcher is that you're just some fucking guy who has become a superhuman mutant monster hunter through alchemy and black magic (even if Geralt is supposed to be a particularly powerful witcher.)
