Want a serious answer? You don't need a super high budget spectacular AAA game like Wukong to put your country in the map of the game industry. Besides, even if India could make something like that, nobody outside of that country has any idea of its mythology so it wouldn't resonate with a lot of non-indian people, whereas Wukong had the benefit of being based on Journey to the West, which is something a lot of people outside of China knows because of its main character.

All you need is to create good games. Literally make indian game development companies and make games that are fun and resonate with people, even if they're not focused on indian stuff (but you should include at least some small details or things that are indian or representative of India's culture so people discover them and become familiarized with them).

The first step for people recognizing your country is making good games. People tend to respect or at least tolerate countries that make things that they enjoy, even if they're few in number.
