But wouldn't it probably mean nothing to them? A small disease probably would just annoy them like anyone else. BUT that by itself can cause despair as well.
My theory is that they would use medicine for common diseases bc those are more like nuisances to them than actually bringing them any sort of despair BUT they would avoid medicine in actual serious diseases or conditions like Covid for example because Covid is way more serious than a normal cold.
I wish there was a novel talking more and more about despair as a whole because there's so many conditions and holes...

I vividly remember expecting Angie to kill someone because it simply made absolute sense to me. I actually thought someone killed her on accident (in my mind it was Chabashira), the killer used the necronomicon, revived her only to be killed by Angie. I simply expected this kind of plot twist somehow.
