If anyone's planning on practising editing over the next 11 months, I'd advise mashups being a fun way to do it.
Not exactly identical skillsets but pretty close, and you've got an actual creative product you're making instead of just busywork.
The low end is just editor's specials of aligning vocals and instrumentals, but you'll be able to cook better mashes with more complex recipes the better your skills get.
