Most all my coworkers are also born and raised like me, I only moved to a bigger town about 25 miles from where I grew up. Ive told them about my attempts to meet with self described communists in the cities my state has.

Its a freak show every time. No workers. No connection to workers. Uppity bourgeois identity bullshit. Literally zero willingness to do anything but talk about how "people are starting to wake up" and then parrot the last thing they heard. No reading. No real experience.

At least Yankees have communists/socialists who are normal people, yk. If youre a socialist and you constantly stand against the working class people moving in a certain direction, that doesnt make them all facists, it makes you not a communist. All it means is you like the aesthetic of dive bars. Working people are imperfect, miseducated, and they are going to save this world. Not some college senior who hasn't worn any pants other than kaki cargo shorts in years and who's only connection is "I dropped out of computer science and im now at a tech school, so I'm really surrounded by these people you know?"

And yes, that was said by someone at the last meeting I tried. Along with "you can call me he, she, they, idgaf" which felt more annoying somehow.
