OP here with my custom N°8 Carbon:

1. Baste and bake handle in olive oil at 175°C for an hour or more (stable process)
2. Clean blade with alcohol, dry and boil in white vinegar for patina (unpredictable finish)
3. Heat metal lockring parts on open flame until reaching desired tone, let sit in white vinegar if it get's too much of an oxodized brown hue (very unstable, have little experience with this, it just came out nice the third try)
