gen-z learned that anime is just cooler and for a while disney decided that it didn't need to work to appeal to young men because they had star wars and marvel
before they owned marvel and star wars they had shows like motor city and tron uprising. very honest efforts to try to appeal to boys, but they came out in the wrong time. when tv was on its way out and most boys already watched anime at this point
so they focused their cartoons on appealing more towards girls, not just their princess movies
thats why you had amphibia and owl house be made
but they really shit the bed with marvel and star wars. they thought boys would like them no matter what, now they having nothing for them. and the people they've been hiring for their other cartoons and movies don't know shit about appealing to boys
