dnb purists don't even stop to consider that your gateway into classic dnb was pendulum they just assume you're in it for their more commercial sound, call you a low iq linkin park fan and leave; that, or pendulum has never been real dnb anyway so no matter how far back into genre you go there is no undoing that is the stain that you found out about their special boys club via pendulum. sorry i'm not over the age of 40 or that the genre was literally inaccessible outside of racing games for the xbox at one point.
