When i was on the west coast, i met a family from the midwest and they told me "If you go to San Francisco you have to taste Ghirardelli chocolate, it's the BEST IN THE WORLD".
So i went i bought Girardelli chocolate and it was like the lowest grade cadbury type of shit.
I was sad for americans because the family was nice and they have basically never tasted actual good chocolate, artisan chocolate or even the most basic european industrial franchises (Leonidas, Jeff de Bruges, Godiva...). You are like food blind.
