From looking around it seems the YC9 is hovering around $200 online. So not great not terrible give there's a good handful of better guns even that cheap.
As for throwing their hat in the gen 3 ring I don't think it's a bad idea if they can pull it off, and that's a big if given their razor thin margins and hyper specialized supply chain and tooling both of which they recently spent money and time expanding to make the retarded YC9

But hey maybe that could just outsource it like they likely did their ar15 .
If hi point is in fact making their AR internally that'd speak to their potential.
