Anyway the whole point of ltv is for classical english economy to explain how a commodity get it's price from it's value because a commodity has value in two ways. One from it's exchange the other from it's utility. The ltv was an attempt to explain it, i.e the value of a commodity is the amount of labour time it takes to produce it.

but Marx deboonks this and says that no because labour itself has a cost because workers are in themselves commodities that are up for exchange in the market so saying that the labour explains the origins of prices is retarded because it's tautology that says prices explain the origin of prices but Marx in his capital shows how the price of labour is regulated like all commodities in capitalist production and he demonstrates that what determines the cost of labour is a social struggle between the two economic categories of capital and labour power
