"Kanji difficulty" is a part of it yeah, because doing chuuni things with kanji is cool. Maybe it's a bit silly but it's chuuni and that's what i like. But it's not like using archaic or purposefully difficult kanji is the only thing that makes a chuunige writing chuuni

I suppose that's true, but i feel like untranslated ge are mostly unknown by the western community in general unless it's the absolute most popular stuff that everyone knows because it's some shit that's hailed as absolute kamige or something insanely difficult and untranslatable. If something like evolimit was picked up by some tl group back in the day, im sure it would've been quite popular
