While I currently don't have a bedframe and just sleep with the mattress on the floor, the point is to prevent moisture buildup below the mattress.
Once I renovate my apartment I'll be thinking of some solution for that, maybe some planks between the mattress and the floor is enough.
Alternatively flipping the mattress up every morning and leaning it on the wall which has the added benefit of increasing the living space.
