So once again, I don’t really get quite where Racer Gwen fits the pattern. I mean, she’s not too out of place. It makes sense that NotDisneyland would have a NotTomorrowland, and that land would need a mascot. That’s okay.

But the other three Gwens we’ve seen all feel like intentional references to specific characters, and I just can’t figure out if Racer Gwen is some reference I’m missing, or if she’s entirely original. I halfway want the scifi version of Gwen to be a Metropolis reference, but nothing in her the racer visual design is giving a cue for that. Is she loosely influenced by Speed Racer? Does Speed Racer have an evil twin?
