But I lean more towards Matthew 13, where your sins are removed and burned and the wheat is stored in heaven.
That kinda... blows away purgatory. Purgatory was a "logical conclusion" based on neglectful induction, they didn't know God could separate your sins from your worthy parts if you agree.
The whole summa theological is based on Tom's assumption that he knew everything about God. Nope.
Which is why Christ said we are to come to him as Children; which rules out the whole "age of reason" debacle.
