Sora's default outfit is supposed to be inspired by the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland so by technically she's a rabbit. Sora's most prominent mascot is Ankimo, and thus a few of her outfits have references to him which makes her a bear. However, the one animal Sora constantly resembles whenever she uses animal assets is a cat. Thus Sora wants to be a cat!
