Someone made an anime opening for a Hearts of Iron mod where Germany won World War 2. It's based on the D3 opening and Chiaki is paralleled with Hitler. It's interesting because they kind of mirror each other in their narrative role. Chiaki's death is what causes the class to finally spiral into despair and the end of the world just like Hitler's death leads to infighting in the power vacuum and the inevitable downfall of the Reich.
