I think the fundamental misunderstanding the person writing this video has is assuming the intended audience for Gushing Over Magical Girls and the audience for Card Captor Sakura are the same, and also that somehow the former erases all the normal mahou shoujo that still comes out. It would be more interesting to look at the anthropology at play, like why male otaku like mahou shoujo at all.
