ebay will be the 'easiest' way for you to claim them
however, if you dont mind waiting if the 'event monsters all have the same stats' (like the shielddogs) then just wait for clones to appear on ebay for $1
the distribution method is horrible but
if the monsters are all identical then its not that big of a deal
pokemon home is never going to delete your clones (outside of improper date obtained, and even then they still likely wont)
