Pretty funny idea, but I don't see them changing the current explanation, especially since they needed essence from Buu himself, so it's not like Buu being able to be the sole progenitor of the race is that outlandish, nor is it necessarily a good idea to change the lore on the off chance someone already got attached to it
Maybe if they introduce full on alternate origins/paths, and take the opportunity to flesh out hybrid vs pure saiyans, cyborg earthlings and whatnot
