>Raiders of the Nasal Dark
Disgusting episode. Boogers would already be gross enough, but they go out of their way to draw the sweets that the characters eat constantly in the same exact way to make it more nasty, then the nosebleeds start, and the ghost is some grotesque mass of flesh that farts and oozes pus. I find it hard to find anything enjoyable about this, the joke of the nosebleeds multiplying when they see Panty's pussy is okay and the action is cool I guess, but still this one is a skip.

>Vomiting Point
First masterpiece episode of the series. The show takes a break from its usual wacky hijinks for a depressingly grounded story about the banal everyday misery of a japanese salaryman, meticulously drawn in the "ugly realistic" style of Ohira/Yuasa for further culture shock. The choice of director says everything about the trolling spirit of the episode, he's Osamu Kobayashi of TTGL #4 fame (at least among the otaku), and he does a fantastic job with the bleak atmosphere and the nuances of the acting. The script is great too with how petty, slimy and awkward it depicts the characters and their interactions, and the ending manages to be both uplifting and devoid of hope as the salaryman immediately goes back to his pathetic routine.
