Wing, I finally finished A Knight of valora. It's quite good. I do like Adah as a protagonist and it's a bold move to have her be a bitch in the first half of the book. It works well. It's quite funny at times too. But some scenes are unnecessary. Did you really need her to be an angry Karen cunt seething at some kid picking his nose and being annoyed by a fat slob with horrible BO when she's riding the bus? It's funny sure, but unnecessary.
I would say you did way too much world building here, she didn't need to travel the world to solve the mystery. I think a tighter focus on just the city she lives in and capturing the criminal would have sufficed. But I did like the twist. Glad you shared it for free. I wouldn't have paid a dollar otherwise
