I've been a member of a relatively drama free Discord group for half a decade now (guild for a dead private server mmo) and it's been very comfy with them mostly revolving around cooking and posting food, posting pictures of painted toy soldiers etc. but aye almost every other group is filled with the most insane and sycophantic people imaginable which combines to make an absolutely abominable mix. The memes about 'discord mods' are real for too many cases.
