I agree 6 & the comic book episode are fantastic but I dunno how you can dislike or be "meh" on ep 1. Sure it suffers from some on-the-nose exposition from Corset but the Panty & Stocking fight is a fucking masterpiece of characterization and inventive, thematically spot-on visuals. Gurren Lagann-tier symbolism without Nakashima.

Is this visual referencing anything? Closest I can think of is Mao Dante but even then it's really hyper-specific so if there's nothing I'm missing that's really impressive.
