The only reason Mai became interested in Ajisai is because she got jealous of Renako going on a date with her. MaiAjisai literally wouldn't exist or be possible without Renako which makes it a crackship.

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion, but I think Mai's arc is the worst one in the entire series. Mai's melodramatic behavior in the last episode is one of the worst moments in this series.
