Probably baked in animations, the few stuff I saw for unreal would be making bones for the areas you want to calculate and probably waste more memory resources from the GPU/CPU, much easier to just import the animations and build the logic from that. It also makes sense to use a proper 3D program instead of engine build stuff, like people using zBrush models and importing it to the game engine to be the high poly texture or something like that.
