I've only ever played 7 and 8. 8 is pretty funny because they keep doing the thing where they give you a guy, and then they give you a woman who is shittier than the guy in every way to see if people will use the waifu over the better unit
I don't think 7 is nearly as bad about doing that. It's not just marisa either. Natasha, Lute and Amelia all follow better male units
