We have childhood trauma from aunties and moms howling over washing chicken with a lemon (I've heard dish soap used too) in the sink and getting our ass whooped with a belt if we didn't thaw out the meat. So now when blacks eat at restaurants you'll hear some say "do they even wash the meat before they cook it?" Just a lot of weird shit in our past with meat in general.
