It's very hard to respect and take patchfags seriously. They are very prideful in their hate of NISA and localisations in general.
There's this very fervent desire to reject Western values and instead accept the Eastern product as-is, without any tampering.
And you might agree with them at this point. You might be thinking "well, what's wrong with that? The West sucks!"
But that's not the root of the issue.
All you have to do is spend an evening here to quickly realize these so-called anti-Westerners are completely against Eastern values. They only worship and champion the Eastern banner when it comes to the script being translated as-is rather than it being localised. The rest? They hate it.
It's why they moan about things like the curse, Osborne and Ouroboros.
They love the Western narrative of Us vs Them. They want Kiseki to be completely a story about Good vs Evil.
They don't respect the Eastern narrative of complex moral values and actions. They hate the Eastern idea of redemption and forgiveness. They hate the Eastern values of society before the individual.
To the Weissmann is the peak of villainy and every antagonist that is not as cruel and unrepentant as Weissmann is essentially a failure. Their Western brains abhor nuance and reject anything beyond childish Western portrayals of moustache-twirling villains.
And the funniest part? They hate text, long form discussions and nuance, despite purportedly loving a text-heavy series. I'm willingly making this a long post and adding this message in this exact position because I know their brains will be unable to process this post and read up until this point. One of them will gleefully say "not reading allat", proud of himself. Such is the true ugliness lurking being the roaring face of a Western patchfag.
I will never respect a patchfag. I would spit on a patchfag were I to cross paths with one.
To be a patchfag is to be a walking contradiction. A person relishing in their own lack of morals.
A hypocrite.
