Nobody cares about this as much, because the Simpsons has been dead for going on 25 years now, but don't forget that uppity Indians took Apu away from us for apparently being an offensive portrayal of Indians. In actuality, Apu is one of the brightest and hardworking men in Springfield, but It's my belief that they seethed and despised people saying "THANK YOU, COME AGAIN" in reaction to their funny Indian accent and wanted to erase it from the world forever.
