Plot twist: Nerida actually likes the smell of Mauxir. After all, what Mauxir really does is she steals Adjutant's clothes, she then cuddles and lays on them, then she washes them, *then* she cuddles and lays in them again so that - just like she enjoys Adjutant's scent on his clothes - Adjutant can subconsciously enjoy Mauxir's scent on his clothes.
