Birds became one of my fav kinds of animals through birding, I lived near a nature preserve for years and would spend all day walking through sketching birds as long as they'd behave for me. Really beautiful creatures and they have a deep emotionality to em I feel. Like they wear their heart on their sleeve, or that's how I always feel about em.
Roadkill is so primo for bone collecting and that nature of stuff, I keep garbage bags and rubber gloves in my trunk always. I got mixed methods of getting the bones out, I've had some ventures into getting clinical with taking the bones out, but I've also experimented with maceration buckets and burying them. I have a hawk that's had ivy growing through it for a few years now which I bet looks gnarly at this point, but I don't want to try pulling it out quite yet. A few rats put by an anthill which gets them clean in like ~6 months usually? I watched a friend once saw through a seals neck with a Swiss army knife over like a half hour. I think I have a stronger stomach for this stuff but that was still a bit tough on my stomach haha. Also shush on the fugly thing, youre fucking hot, that's a great pic! Cool composition.
Book of poetry is so sick, I kind of took a break for a long time because most ideas I'd put into poems started going into music, but I've found my way back to writing em. Would love to see some of your writing sometime, I feel like poetry really draws out like not just a moment or idea from a person, but how they'd like to present it and then what it really meant for them kind of bleeds through the intention a bit.
I think you're cool as, though I've been pretty set on that for a minute haha. The plant stuff that you've been posting lately is really sick, making me want to get back to drawing flowers more.
