Honestly, I don't see why people didn't recognise it sooner that they straight up admitted they were releasing unfinished systems into the game. 6 player-ops is missing and will be released "at some point", raid and dungeon content in the portal will just be specific encounters that drop pinnacle ops gear not even their specific loot.

4 major updates were listed on the original frontiers timetable but was reduced to 2 in the later one. Would you consider the "new" free stuff we got with the portal in EoF on par with Into The Light? Because that is the bar Bungie set.

Honestly, this is not at all surprising when they backtracked from the expansions being "bigger than Rise of Iron" when they have less shit than CoO or Warmind. Game is on bare minimum life support mode for content with "expansions" being a slightly bigger season.
