We were never given that choice. Croats are a nation that has slavery in its genes. If left alone, they will desperately look for a master to hold his boot on their necks. We haven't had a sovereign country in over a thousand years, not even the period between Yugoslavia and the EU because we started the process to join the EU as soon as Yugoslavia dissolved and even in that period we were mostly controlled by their demands. Even so, things were much better for us then than they are now that we are under total control.

Americans should have enslaved us instead of africans, that way they would still have slaves to this day because nobody would ever even think of revolting or asking for any rights. They would just ask to be given less food and more beatings.
