It sucks, but you do get a kind of confidence knowing you came out the other end okay. The key thing for me was learning what the food/grocery delivery apps here were. After that I could learn my surroundings.
This thread helped a lot, too. Even though I was miles away from anyone I knew, the anons here were good company.
