It used to be fun in the 80s and 90s, when it drew on cool cultural reverences of the time, encouraged good gameplay, imagination, scratchbuilding and proxies, as well as being was full of a satirical jokes about the mainstream thatcherite/authoritarian culture (making money is the end all and be all) of the time. It brought normal people together and gave many a relief from the grim grind of british life. It turned shit around 4th ed when the mainstream corpo money grabbers took over, removed the humour (corpos and their shills don't do satire) and turned the game, rules and lore into just tools to force more sales. Like Punk, it became that which it used to take the piss out of basically, just a method for milking cash out of idiots.
