I started playing last season and I feel kinda sad that I missed out on Fortnite around 2018. From what I can see, those were some really fun days. I remember I was kinda hyped for FortNite: Save The World in 2016-17. But when the BR fad caught fire, I misheard that Epic had canned STW in favor of BR which made me upset.

I tried games other than Fortnite. PUBG was a disaster and totally failed to run on my PC. I tried other BRs like the Realm Royale beta for a day where I got stomped by people. All this made me sour on the BR genre as a whole.

I actually went on to play MOBA trash which turned out to be a disaster in the long run. Then Fortnite became the #1 game in the world and cool-to-hate, which made me avoid it like the plague for almost its entire lifetime. If I had known that STW was still around and BR was actually fun I might have had a lot more fun and would have enjoyed gaming a lot more than I did in those days. I wish I had started playing earlier. Feels bad.
