Personally I believe in seperation if church and state. We don't have that here in the US, unfortunately. Marriage is a religious institution and should be defined according to religious beliefs, not laws written by men and whores. I would only take government intervention to enforce a marriage contract so long as it were treated like any other contract. Instead, even the religious lean on the government to define marriage and to give violate the very terms of the marriage contract.
