Yuzuha is the glue for the whole group. Alice and Manato are the everyday pals and Lucia and Yid are the online pals. When together, they likely just get along because everyone's pretty amiable.

I hope they keep it ambiguous whether Lucia can use actual occult magic or it's just ether manipulation and whether Yidhari is a normal octopus thiren or she somehow got a lovecraftian horror attached to her ass like Ina'nis. It's more fun that way.
