Idk what your setup is, I've never struggled to handle a USGI style aluminum AR mag, and I don't think le GRIP ZONE™ on the mag makes any difference.

I've sorta experienced this, but then I realized it literally is just a mildly uncomfortable edge in my side, so I shifted my body and it went away.
