The threads are the way that they are because there is a distinct lack of any kind of active moderation. The reason why the thread lacks moderation is because the posts you call schizoposts result in engagement for the site which means more ad revenue for the man in charge. If you want this site to be better then you need to disrupt the flow of ad revenue to the point where improvements and changes are implemented. If the site becomes unusable, then they're going to do everything in their power to make it usable again. If you don't believe me just look at the recent situation we all dealt with where the entire site was shut down and confirmed they hadn't made any worthwhile changes to it in nearly ten years.
So long as the bare minimum keeps everything floating, that's all they're going to put into it.
