that's just the nature of biglust, it sometimes spits out very overexposed images. this is mostly because bigasp (which is part of the merge in biglust, and what gives it all the porn training) was trained on shitty porno shoots so a lot of the training data is overexposed trash porn images. it's kinda just a baked in style, and i have a feeling low step lora + 1 cfg doesn't help (if anything makes it worse).

if you want more aesthetic looking images, look for biglust merges that merge with more artistic models. some examples i'd recommend checking out are biglustydonutmix, araminta experiment, and epicrealism.

in terms of bl1.6 vs 1.7 yes, 1.7 is a complete meme made by someone else (and i do agree naming it biglust is retarded cause they aren't the original creator). that being said they do output pretty similar results, although i still favor 1.6 if i had to choose 1.
