Is the Nuclear family actually the ideal state for people? I don't think so. You've probably heard so many women complaning their husband works all the time and they're at home having to take care of the kid(s) all day long and not getting enough time to themselves or to do anything else, then the husband comes home from working 60 hours a week, possibly two jobs and he's exhausted so he doesn't help. Who is to blame here? the man? the woman? neither. The issue is they are living in a nuclear family. Our ancestors were not isolated from each other, when a woman got pregnant she had tons of support from sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, grandfathers, grandmothers, female cousins. They all helped and let the mother rest, they taught the new mother how to take care of the child, they helped her in many ways and supported her, they did not leave her to fend on her own with no support while her husband worked all day. That is the modern day nuclear family and it isn't right. All the family would help the new mother, support her, guide her and she would recover fully and be in a good state of mind. This is how it should be. What do you guys think? personally i can't see any way the nuclear family unit would be superior over to what our ancestors did where all the family was there to help new mothers and fathers.
