The Bubsy IP a few years ago was dead in the water, so he quickly latched onto it with his new tranny fanfic iteration of the character. He genuinely thought he a foothold over the IP because he harassed Michael Berlyn over Facebook, who was simply just intrigued that someone out there still liked his creation and said that his art was cool, which made him think he now owned Bubsy through some "blessing" from the original creator. It's basically comparable to some 5 year old showing his shitty crayon drawing to his parents, and they have no choice but to respond to it endearingly.
He's had a history of trying to branch out ever since he "disowned" Tranny Bubsy, but it lead to nothing but drama, and the position he is in today.
