because the only niche enemies where Geo had some advantage were the ones with Geo shields but with the addition of Chevreuse, overload teams became viable and they can deal extremely well with Geo shields
now Geo characters simply do not have a reason to exist, you can do absolutely everything the game has to offer without Geo characters
