Those who say things like "If I wanted porn, I would just watch porn" reveal themselves to be far more pathetic gooners than those who want erotic content in games.

In the case of a 'serious' game, they completely disregard the potential for erotic content to benefit the work as a whole. How do they reconcile their stance with well respected artists like David Lynch, Pedro Almodovar, or Billy Wilder having careers defined by their sexually explicit themes and imagery?

In the case of 'pornographic' games, they reveal that they only consider titillation in the pure form of base imagery, without considering the role the surrounding work plays. Do they hold the same grudge against pornographic novels, largely consumed by women, which are constantly topping the best sellers charts? In what backwards world is sexual imagery devoid of context seen as more respectable than a (sexually explicit) love story?
