I'm the Aiwa anon from the last thread, just wanted to share my experience so far with my CRT, for any future archive spelunkers searching for opinions on Aiwa sets.

I'm really enjoying everything about it so far. The geometry on this thing is holding up pretty well, with a very, very small deviation to the right side, but it's unnoticeable during gameplay.

I don't have a remote, but my phone has an IR Blaster and I'm able to control everything, including menus, easily with the Lean Remote app.
The menus on the TV are limited, but do their job perfectly to adjust the image and coloring, although I still want to look deeper into the service menus.

The speakers on this thing are insanely good, they legitimately sound better than a couple of my newer LED TVs that are 1-2 years old. I don't get audio via SCART for some reason, but now the front inputs are working flawlessly, after some tinkering.

I haven't played as much as I would've liked, but in the last couple of days with it, I've been emulating some Mega CD via Wii homebrew and the experience is awesome. Finished both Terminator and Sonic CD already, going to play Snatcher next.

Don't be afraid of these lesser name brands when getting a CRT. Aiwa kicks ass!
