This is a completely standard opinion. Viz is clearly copying DiC's style of voice work to the point that it's barely an upgrade, it's not really accurate to the original Japanese show and is still kind of its own thing, even if much less was cut or altered outright.

DiC is weird, in both bad and interesting ways and it has enough character to it that I occasional go out of my way to check out an episode to be hit hard by a dose of 90s nostalgia of a kind that only it can provide.

The Mexican dub does a much better job of being an actual halfway blend between the DiC take on the show and the original Japanese, and has much more considerable charm to it.

Viz just cannot bring out the distinct qualities of the characters and voices them far too interchangably.
